Meat from the Aberdeen Angus breed is renowned for it’s eating quality and distinctive flavour, their meet is hung for at least three weeks to ensure maximum tenderness and full flavour.

The Sausage Shed is based in Walronds Park, Isle Brewers, in the heart of the beautiful Somerset countryside.

Ivan Thompson, the proud owner of The Sausage Shed, has been in the butchery trade since 1985 and still uses his original sausage recipe. He prides himself on providing the highest quality pork products, made by hand using locally sourced, free-range ingredients and traditional methods.

We have a wide range of pork cuts and sausages made from the best, local ingredients. Pigs are picked from local farms and all of them are reared free-range and outdoors on Somerset farms.

Biltong is a a traditional South African treat, using fresh fresh cuts of beef which are cured in spices and then hung in an air drying cabinet for two weeks. This creates a delicious and versatile product which can be used as a snack or garnished on top of your favourite foods.

We use Somerset Beef and natural herbs & spices and no artificial additives.

We run a smallholding where we rear rare breed livestock,Dexter cattle,Dorper Sheep and Oxford & Berkshire pigs and a range of large fowl and banton hens. Our animals are given longer to grow and space to free range. Our speciality is homemade Scotch eggs using our free range eggs and free range pork!

We have also recently introduced delicious pies made with our own beef ,pork and lamb.

We also bring along a selection pf our home produced meats.

Where possible they use locally sourced ingredients and their cider, sage, cheese, pork, goat, duck and wild garlic all come from Somerset producers.   Somerset Charcuterie was presented with the Western Daily Press ‘Food Producer of the Year’ award 2015.
