Home of famously stinky Renegade Monk, Feltham’s Farm has a reputation for winning quite a few awards too, including Supreme Champion at the Virtual Cheese Awards.
The organically-accredited farm is on is 22 acres in the north of Somerset’s Blackmore Vale, and run by Marcus Fergusson and Penny Nagle. Albeit relative newcomers to cheesemaking – after Marcus was made redundant from a corporate job in London (much to his relief) – there was no turning back from a one-day course at River Cottage, and, several years on, Feltham’s Farm has made a name for itself as one of the most coveted cheeses in Somerset.
