I started The Leafy Tea Company in 2016 when I was 16 years old and should have been studying for my GCSE’s! I have always loved the thought of healthy sugar-free drinks but found lots of berry infusions lacking in flavour and so one wet, cold February half-term break I decided to source my own ingredients, packing them into self-seal paper tea bags and The Leafy Tea Company was born.
Since then I have progressed to a small select range of teas & infusions that cover most palates, all with health-giving benefits and all now packed into bio-degradable silky pyramid teabags and snazzy recyclable packaging.
April Collins has won a Young Entrepreneur award,visited tea plantations in Africa and donates a proportion of her profits to a charity in Malawi!
