Buckshaw Milk Sheep are a family run farm with a flock of approximately 250 milk sheep. They have mainly frenc lacaune X Dorset ewes who are farmed free range. They started milking them to produce milk that was sent for yogurt making. Rachel then decided to start making their own cheeses, with the help of a cheese consultant, they began creating their own Buckshaw Blewe sheep cheese. They have since increased their range, all their cheeses are produced with their own unpasteurised ewe’s milk.
