Frome Cheese & Grain Farmers Market is on the move!

Breaking news Frome Farmers Market is relocating to Boyle Cross on Saturday August 13th.
Firstly, we would like to thank the Cheese and Grain for over 20 years of support, hosting one of the 1st Farmers Markets in the UK and at its peak arguably the best ( so said The Sunday Times!)
However since Covid we have see our customer base hugely decline despite publicity campaigns and extra help from the Cheese and Grain I’m afraid folks it is a simple case of ‘Use it or Lose it’
However we do not want to ‘Lose it’ and many thanks to Frome Town Council for supporting us to relocate to Boyle Cross where we already hold a successful Farmers Market as part of The Frome Independent
This solution will bring back a market to Fromes’ original market place andĀ  we hope will introduce our farmers, market gardeners ,cheesemakers, brewers, cidermakers, beekeepers , foragers and bakers to a wider customer base. We also look forward to being alongside the towns other cafes, shops to help maintain the towns vibrancy.
We are excited and nervous in equal measure and on wet windy days we will certainly be missingĀ  the weather proof Cheese & Grain!
Many of our customers may be unhappy about this decision but we ask that you see it in a positive light, actually giving the market an opportunity to continue.
If you would like to keep abreast of our news updates place follow us of social media or visit our website to sign up for a Frome Market newsletter www.somersetfarmersmarkets.co.uk
On a final note please try to support all of Fromes local independent shops, cafes ,butchers ,market stalls & businesses. Whilst trading we all put our best foot forward and keep smiling, however in these dire economic times we are all very economically fragile.
