Joe Wilkin started up this small bakery out of his garage in Rode during lockdown. Ever since, their focus has been on sustainability, provenance, and quality raw ingredients.
That means stoneground and regenerative flour, organic dairy, seasonal fruit and vegetables – all sourced as locally as possible.
Though the bakery’s range extends from sourdough breads to quiches, and hot cross buns to pastel de nata, Joe usually pitches up in Frome selling his pollowy-soft doughnuts, filled with the likes of strawberries and cream and rhubarb and custard.
