Somerset honey this summer

Great news – local beekeepers anticipate a good yield of honey this summer!

And the excellent news for customers is that we now have local honey available at many of our farmers’ markets. The Midsomer Norton Market in August was joined by local beekeeper Geoff Rowen of ‘Mendip Apiary’ who was warmly welcomed by customers eagerly anticipating his attendance. Hay fever sufferers, who find swallowing a spoonful of honey each day preferable to the alternative remedies, often seek out local honey. Thousands of people swear by it, saying that a spoonful a day, preferably starting well before the pollen season, has transformed their lives. So come along and try some local honey for yourself and maybe even find out about beekeeping.
