Somersets Christmas Farmers Markets 2010!

Somersets Christmas Farmers Markets!

Somerset Farmers Markets keep going all year round as lets face it the customers don't stop food shopping and each season brings particular joys whether it's the asparagus season, the 1st strawberries of the year or the seasonal game which presently is in full flow.

But it's the Christmas markets through December which create the most excitement and anticipation for the farmers and customers alike. Ordering Turkeys and hams, seeking out the most delicious Christmas puddings and purchasing extra special gifts for family and friends which have been lovingly created by our local artisan producers- ' Somerset Lavender Farm' in Falkland , 'Quantock Ales' in Wellington or cheeses and chutneys to help extend each Christmas meal!

See our advert and website for the dates of all of the events but we'd like to draw your attention to a couple of them!

Wincanton Kicks off the festive season on Friday 3rd December with a combined Farmers Market and Craft fair with exciting gift ideas from handmade soaps to unique sculptures and jewelry. It will go on until 1pm and being indoors it's a wonderful warm destination on the bleakest of days with hot refreshments on tap!

We tend to run out of Saturdays in the run up to the 25th and both Axbridge and Yeovil are holding Christmas markets on Sunday 19th December. Albeit a little later with 10.30 am and 10am kick offs respectively.

This will be a first for us to host Sunday markets and we hope will appeal to those who need to make the most of this last weekend before the Christmas break begins.

Carol singing and Christmas hamper Draws and festive food will make these great destinations for the whole family.

The Frome Big Christmas Evening event has become the stuff of legends!
