Two of our producers have featured in the news very recently.
Somerset Charcuterie has just won ‘Best Food Producer’ in the Western Daily Press Food and Farming Awards. James Simpson and his team are producers of cured meat products with a west country twist. They only use locally produced, rare breed, free range pork and natural skins, and rear some of the animals themselves. Somerset Charcuterie was launched at Axbridge Market about a year ago and has grown by leaps and bounds ever since. It’s a real triumph to have received the award at this early stage of the development of Somerset Charcuterie.
