Frome Cheese & Grain Farmers’ Market presents: Meet the Producer
On Saturday 14th March during the market at the Cheese & Grain in the fully accessible Community Education Room upstairs.
We’re giving our farmers and producers an opportunity to share with you their experiences, ethos and enthusiasm for producing your food. Plan your shopping trip around the talks you are interested in. We have put together a variety of producers who all share a huge enthusiasm for producing food and a desire to tell their story. An opportunity to find out all you ever wanted to know about local food production.
- 9.30 am: The Good Life Pork Company
Emborough based dairy and pig farmer Tom Trippick is passionate about rearing rare breed pigs, their quality of life and the quality of the meat he is producing.
- 10am: Fussels Fine Foods
Rode based Andy Fussel has succeeded in putting his award winning Rape Seed oil products on menu’s around the UK a great story teller with many a tale to tell- including his visit into the Dragons Den
- 11am: The Somerset Cheese Company
Phil Rainbow has over 40 years in cheese making, and his expertise is well known and respected. He has won awards in both national and international shows – an opportunity to find out more.
- 11.30am The Hill Bakery
Kilmersdon based bread maker Barry Fowler is a sourdough enthusiast – hear about making and baking it and travelling the world visiting bakeries.
